The NDTi Small Supports Programme has been working since 2019 to develop new small support organisations able to support people with intellectual disabilities, autistic people and those with enduring mental health support needs live more independently and build a life in their community. The Social Protection Institute of the Republic of Slovenia (IRSSV) is a national public research institute in the field of social protection. Our work focuses on key areas such as family policy, child and youth welfare, disability, long-term care, and deinstitutionalisation. We support the development and implementation of social policies through research, data analysis, expert studies, and professional support for stakeholders in Slovenia and abroad. IRSSV works closely with ministries, social service providers, NGOs, and other partners. In recent years, we have built a dedicated team working specifically in the field of deinstitutionalisation and established Centres for Deinstitutionalisation (co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus and the Republic of Slovenia).
