Barbora Holá is a project coordinator at the Czech Centre for the Development of Mental Health Care (Centrum pro rozvoj péče o duševní zdraví) and a social worker (coordinator of care) in community mental health service (Mental Health Center in Beroun, Central Bohemia). She has extensive experience in the development of community-based services for people with mental health issues. As a member of the Czech Platform for Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and a reviewer of the IPS model, she focuses on supporting the integration of people with psychosocial disabilities into the open labour market. She has worked on a number of mental health projects focusing on introducing and developing the role of peer specialists in Czech community and inpatient mental health care, supporting family members and loved ones of people with mental health issues, supporting parenting and preventing the development of difficulties in children growing up with a parent with mental illness, and evaluating the process of transforming residential facilities for people with serious mental illness.
